Wenatchee In-Home Newborn Lifestyle Session
Welcome to my second in-home newborn session of all time! As a portrait photographer that has recently added in-home lifestyle photography to her repertoire, I’m so excited to share this session with you.
Carlie & Mason reached out to me last May in regards to their maternity session (their blog post can be seen here, and trust me, you won’t be disappointed by this mountaintop session that we did at golden hour in super gusty wind!), so naturally I was excited that I’d actually get to meet this sweet baby. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I love following the growth of a family. And living in a smaller area such as the Greater Wenatchee Valley definitely allows me that privilege.
The key to successful in-home sessions
One of the most important things an in-home lifestyle photographer can ask for is ample natural light. And boy, did we have it. But more importantly, we also were able to capture some moments of transition into a new family of three. And as you look through this gallery of images, I hope you notice the simplicity in them. The simplicity of colors. The simplicity of the movements. The simplicity of joy and how it came so easy while holding their tiny baby. I hope you notice how the images truly revolve around the momentous and amazing experience that having a newborn is.
“For all the things my hands have held, the best by far is you.”
Alright, now that we’ve covered fur babies (because we all know they are just as much a part of the family is human babies), let’s just gawk over some pure sugar baby features.
The magical moments of newborn life
I feel like all parents can resonate with the following moments. You know, the ones spent together, admiring the bundle of tissue and skin that was created and birthed and whom you love so endlessly and without fault. We could spend hours doing this, couldn’t we? I know I could. And that’s why I so admire when clients invite me into their homes for lifestyle sessions.
Xoxo, Char
