East Wenatchee In-Home Lifestyle Photographer
Lifestyle sessions are all about capturing who a family is in their most vulnerable state, which usually means in their home. This is where we find peace, where we love on the ones we care for the most, and where we settle into new routines. And this is why most lifestyle photographers aim to document the growth of a family. The addition of a sibling. The new day to day that is so challenging but oh so rewarding, too.
I’m sitting here in my home writing this blog, watching a fire burn and reminiscing about the day I photographed this sweet family. It was June of this year (I know, I know, I’m super behind on blogging) and I’d never done a session like this before. Nervous and excited, I headed over to the Montes home to capture some sweet memories for the new family of four.
Their toddler, Camden, greeted me at the door and immediately began showing me all his toys and then his little sibling. He was so proud! And honestly, it’s as easy at that. I asked him to give me a tour of his home and we ended up in the kid’s room. He showed me his favorite space under his bunk and gave his brother a bit of love. It was so fun watching him show me around. I actually photographed this family’s fall mini session when Camden was itty bitty and I know I’ve said it before, but being able to follow and document a family each year is the best!
Oh man, I just love all the expressions babies make! Swoon!
They had the most beautiful light coming through their back door. Of course we utilized it and ended up with the greatest baby smiles!
Camden then decided he’d like to show me around their backyard, so I obliged. I love love love following the family’s lead during a lifestyle session. Whatever they enjoy, I like to capture. Even play sets and vegetable gardens!
Xoxo,
